In a recent post on X (formerly known as Twitter), a user named Majin Bu shared insights regarding potential color options for the upcoming iPhone 16 Pro. According to Majin Bu, there will be two new color variants: “Desert Titanium” and “Titanium Gray.”
Majin Bu described “Desert Titanium” as resembling the Gold color option available on the iPhone 14 Pro from 2022, albeit with a deeper and heavier tone. Conversely, “Titanium Gray” is said to be akin to the Space Gray shade offered on the iPhone 6 back in 2014.
The iPhone 15 Pro lineup features color options such as Black Titanium, White Titanium, Blue Titanium, and Natural Titanium. Notably, there is no Gold variant for the iPhone 15 Pro. Gold had been a staple option in iPhones from the 5S in 2013 to the iPhone 14 Pro in 2022. The absence of Gold in the iPhone 15 Pro lineup could pave the way for its reintroduction with the iPhone 16 Pro.
Traditionally, Apple’s “Pro” iPhone models debut with no more than four color options, typically comprising basic black, white, and gold alongside a more vibrant color like green, blue, or purple. While it’s highly probable that Black Titanium and White Titanium will carry over from the iPhone 15 Pro to the iPhone 16 Pro, the fate of Blue Titanium and Natural Titanium remains uncertain.
There’s speculation that these colors might be phased out to make room for “Desert Titanium” and “Titanium Gray,” especially considering the similarity between “Titanium Gray” and Natural Titanium.
It’s important to note that this rumor about the iPhone 16 Pro’s color options is the first of its kind, and Majin Bu’s track record for accuracy regarding Apple’s plans is mixed. However, as the launch approaches, more information is expected to surface in the coming months.
