As the year comes to a close, Samsung is preparing to introduce the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 variant of the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE in India. While an official announcement is yet to be made, a promotional banner with the tagline “The New Epic” has emerged on Flipkart, and the product page for the Galaxy S23 FE SD Gen 1 variant is already live.
The Exynos variant of the smartphone is currently available in India through Amazon and Samsung.com, priced at Rs 59,999 for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage option. However, details about the availability of the Snapdragon edition remain unknown. Flipkart’s page listing, however, reveals the Purple Color variant with 128GB storage and 8GB RAM.
Despite the absence of an official announcement from Samsung, the presence of a product page on Flipkart suggests that the launch of the Snapdragon edition is imminent. Although the product page currently states that the device is unavailable for purchase, it provides a sneak peek into what can be expected from the smartphone.
The Snapdragon edition of the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE is anticipated to have specifications closely aligned with those of the Exynos version, with the exception of the Qualcomm SM8450 Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, which powers the Galaxy S22 with the Adreno 730 GPU.
The Samsung Galaxy S23 FE features a 6.3-inch dynamic AMOLED display with a Full HD resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels and a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. The display is equipped with an in-screen fingerprint scanner for authentication.
For photography enthusiasts, the smartphone boasts a triple-rear camera setup consisting of a 50MP primary sensor with OIS, a 12MP ultra-wide lens, and an 8MP telephoto lens with OIS support. On the front, there is a 10MP front-facing camera housed in a punch hole.
The device is paired with 8GB of RAM and runs on Android 13. Samsung has committed to providing 4 years of OS updates and 5 years of security patches for the device. It is powered by a 4,500mAh battery with support for 25W wired charging and 15W fast wireless charging.
The Samsung Galaxy S23 FE Snapdragon edition will be available in Mint, Graphite, and Purple color options. Although currently marked as unavailable, the product page on Flipkart sets the stage for the impending launch of the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE Snapdragon edition in India.
