Qualcomm has announced that it will be hosting an event in China on March 18th to introduce its latest flagship Snapdragon chip. The highly anticipated SoC, expected to be named the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 (SM8635), is rumored to feature a powerful Cortex-X4 core, similar to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. The speculated specifications of the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 include a configuration of 1 x 3.01GHz Cortex-X4, 4 x 2.61GHz Cortex-A720, and 3 x 1.84GHz Cortex-A520 CPU, along with an Adreno 735 GPU.
In addition to the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, Qualcomm is also expected to unveil the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 (SM7675) at the event. While sharing a similar architecture, the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 is rumored to have different clock speeds, including 1 x 2.9GHz Cortex-X4, 4 x 2.61GHz Cortex-A720, and 3 x 1.9GHz Cortex-A520 CPU, coupled with an Adreno 732 GPU.
Several upcoming devices are speculated to feature these new Snapdragon chips. The Realme GT Neo6 is rumored to be powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC, while the Neo 6 SE might house the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 (SM7675) SoC. Other devices, such as the Redmi Note 13 Turbo, the upcoming iQOO Neo9 series phone, and the vivo Pad 3, are also expected to be equipped with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3.
Adding to the excitement, a Xiaomi phone with the model number 24053PY09C recently obtained certification from TENAA. It is speculated to be the Civi 4, powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3. Additionally, leaks suggest that the OnePlus Ace 3V (also known as Nord 4/5) will feature the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC.
The full list of devices utilizing these new Snapdragon chips is expected to be revealed during the upcoming event next week.
