Samsung is preparing to introduce its highly anticipated Galaxy A55 and Galaxy A35 smartphones in various markets in the first quarter of this year. Recent leaks from prominent leaker Evan Blass have provided us with official renders of both devices, confirming their designs and color options. The leaked renders showcase the Galaxy A55 and Galaxy A35, which share similar designs. Both phones feature a punch-hole display on the front and a triple camera setup with an LED flash on the back.
Available in three color options—Awesome Iceblue, Awesome Lilac, and Awesome Navy—it’s evident that Samsung aims to offer a wide range of choices in its A-series lineup. In December, Samsung introduced the Key Island button design with the Galaxy A15 and Galaxy A25 smartphones. This design feature slightly raises the portion housing the volume rocker and power key, adding a unique touch to the overall aesthetics.
While the A35 is rumored to have a plastic build, the A55 might opt for a metallic construction, providing a more premium feel. Moving on to specifications, reports suggest that the Galaxy A55 will boast a 6.5-inch AMOLED display, while the A35 will come with a slightly larger 6.6-inch AMOLED screen. Both displays are expected to support FHD resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, ensuring a smooth and vibrant viewing experience.
Under the hood, the A55 is rumored to be powered by the Exynos 1480 chipset, while the A35 may feature the Exynos 1380 chipset. Both models are anticipated to offer up to 12GB of RAM, up to 256GB of storage, and a 5,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging support, allowing users to stay connected throughout the day without worrying about running out of power.
Camera capabilities are also a focal point of these devices. The A35 may sport a 13-megapixel front camera and a triple camera setup consisting of a 50-megapixel main sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS), an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 5-megapixel macro lens. On the other hand, the A55 is rumored to feature a 32-megapixel front camera and a similar triple camera configuration with a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 5-megapixel macro lens. These cameras promise to deliver stunning photos and videos, capturing every detail with precision.
Both smartphones are expected to run on One UI 6 based on Android 14, providing a user-friendly and intuitive interface. Additionally, they are said to come with an IP67-rated chassis, ensuring dust and water resistance. This feature adds an extra layer of durability, allowing users to confidently use their phones in various environments without worrying about damage.
With the Galaxy A55 and Galaxy A35, Samsung aims to maintain its dominance in the mid-range smartphone market by catering to consumers’ diverse needs and preferences. The combination of powerful specifications, impressive camera capabilities, and attractive designs make these devices a compelling choice for those seeking a high-quality smartphone experience at an affordable price.
