Samsung has recently introduced its upgraded lineup of ultra-short-throw projectors, featuring the Premiere 7, Premiere 9, Premiere 5, and Premiere 8K models. These projectors come equipped with a revolutionary technology called Lightwarp, which allows users to transform any object or surface into an interactive display.
The flagship model, the Premiere 8K, offers support for 8K resolution and can upscale 4K content to 8K natively. With a powerful 100W sound system featuring an 8.2.2-channel configuration, Dolby Atmos, and Sound-on-Screen support, the audio experience is designed to complement the immersive visuals. The Sound-on-Screen feature creates the illusion that the audio is coming directly from the projected screen. Impressively, the Premiere 8K can project a 150-inch image from just 12 inches away. It also includes a Wireless One Connect Box, allowing for easy connection of streaming devices within a range of up to 10 meters.
The Premiere 5, on the other hand, is marketed as the world’s most compact triple-laser ultra-short-throw projector. Despite its small size, it is capable of producing a 100-inch screen from a distance of just 17 inches. Measuring approximately 20 cm in height, 14 cm in width, and weighing only 1.67 kg, it offers impressive capabilities in a compact package.
One of the standout features across all models is Lightwarp, a technology that enables users to turn various surfaces into interactive displays. Samsung demonstrated its versatility by showcasing examples such as setting up widgets on the wall for weather, clock, news, and more. This functionality extends to tabletop games, providing an interactive and engaging experience.
While Samsung has not yet disclosed pricing and availability details for these new projector models, the introduction of Lightwarp technology and the impressive features of the Premiere series make them an exciting addition to the market.
