The latest AnTuTu benchmark results for March 2024 have been released showing the performance of different chipsets on a smartphone. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 emerged as the top performer beating out the Dimensity 9300. However, there are some caveats to consider when analyzing these rankings.
That data includes devices with at least 1,000 benchmark runs in China alone. As a result some high-quality sample groups may not be represented if this threshold is not met. In March, the Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro equipped with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, 16GB RAM and 512GB storage took the top spot with an average of 2,141,448. Close behind is the Oppo Find X7 with Dimensity 9300, 16GB RAM and 1TB storage, with an average score of 2,138,119. The iQOO 12 with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, 16GB RAM and 512GB storage was ranked third with an average score of 2,110,595.
These are followed by the Red Magic 9 Pro+ and vivo X100 Pro with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and Dimensity 9300 to complete the top five. Notably absent from the top of the rankings are any Xiaomi devices, indicating potential changes in the company’s priorities or processing capabilities relative to competitors.
In the mid-range category, the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 pack leads the way, driven by the OnePlus S 3V with an average of 1,466,728. Besides, the Redmi K70E powered by the Dimensity 8300-Ultra SoC and the Realme GT Neo5 SE powered by the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 SoC.
Further down the list, the Redmi Note 12 Turbo and Oppo Reno11 equipped with Snapdragon and Dimensity chipsets complete the top five. The ranking also highlights the performance differences between the various iterations of the Qualcomm chipsets, as evidenced by the huge lead the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 has over the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3.
Overall, the March AnTuTu benchmark results highlight the ongoing competition between Qualcomm and MediaTek in the smartphone chipset market, with each company trying to deliver the best performance in their respective offerings.
