MacRumors recently obtained exclusive information about Apple’s highly anticipated 2024 iPhone lineup. The leaked details provide an exciting glimpse into the prototypes of the Pro devices, and our mockups, based on internal designs, offer the clearest preview yet of what to expect from the upcoming iPhones.
Building upon the success of the iPhone 15 Pro, the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max are set to feature even larger displays and an innovative new capacitive Capture button. The Pro models, codenamed Diablo and Lightning, will boast 6.3-inch and 6.9-inch displays, respectively, a step up from the previous 6.1 inches and 6.7 inches. This increase in screen size is primarily attributed to the inclusion of the 5x tetraprism Telephoto camera on both models, marking a departure from the iPhone 15 lineup.
While the overall form factor and design have remained consistent, Apple has explored various button configurations during the development process. Ultimately, the chosen design for the iPhone 16 Pro models is similar to that of the iPhone 15 Pro, with the addition of an extra button on the right side. Additionally, both Pro models will retain the multi-purpose Action button, which can be configured for a range of functions.
Despite the experimentation with sizes and designs, the current documentation suggests that the Action button on the iPhone 16 Pro will maintain the same size as its predecessor, the iPhone 15 Pro.
