On Wednesday, November 29, Xiaomi’s Redmi line is set to unveil its K70 series, featuring three smartphones: the standard Redmi K70, the K70 Pro, and the more budget-friendly K70E. Ahead of the launch, live hands-on images have surfaced, providing a closer look at both the K70 and K70 Pro, along with additional specifications.
Both models boast 6.67-inch AMOLED panels with punch-hole cutouts and glass backs featuring a frosted pattern. The rear design showcases an updated camera layout, featuring a sizable glass camera island housing three lenses, each encased in its metal ring. The LED flash occupies the fourth cutout.
The camera specifications include a 50MP main camera with OIS for both models. The K70 Pro adds a 2x portrait cam and an ultrawide lens, while the standard K70 opts for a 2MP AI cam.
The settings menu reveals that both phones will run Xiaomi HyperOS 1.0.1 based on Android 14, accompanied by 12GB of RAM. Powering the devices, the K70 Pro will be equipped with Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, while the standard K70 appears to run on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip. The Redmi K70E is set to debut the recently announced Dimensity 8300 from MediaTek.
In addition to the Redmi K70 series, Wednesday’s launch event will showcase other products, including the Redmi Book 16 2024 Windows laptops, the Redmi Watch 4 wearable, and the Redmi Buds 5 Pro TWS earbuds.
