The iPhone 16 series has generated excitement among tech enthusiasts, thanks to a recent article from MacRumors. The article reveals some potential design changes that are being considered for the base model, internally known as “DeLorean.”
Preliminary design renders showcase three variations, each highlighting possible modifications. The first design takes inspiration from the iPhone X, featuring a vertical pill-shaped camera setup with dual lenses. In a departure from tradition, the yellow prototype introduces a unified volume rocker button, replacing the separate volume up and down buttons found on iPhones since 2010.
All three renderings also incorporate capacitive Action Buttons positioned above the volume rocker. The black model stands out with a visually larger button, while the pink and black renditions revert to a more conventional camera design, with each lens encased in a metal ring.
One notable addition to the black model is the inclusion of a capacitive Capture Button located below the power button. Previously known as “Project Nova,” this button is rumored to provide force touch feedback and serve as a dedicated shutter button for the camera.
The article suggests that the Action Button is expected to be a consistent feature across the entire iPhone 16 series, adding a new dimension to the user experience.
While these design changes are still in the experimental phase, they offer an exciting glimpse into the potential future of the iPhone 16 series. As technology continues to evolve, Apple’s commitment to innovation remains unwavering.
